Set0/Set1:These icons control which fonts are used in the Expands, Edit expands and Characters windows.
Set3:The “Normal” font style is used in the Expands window (for the list of expands), the Edit Expands window and the Characters window.
Set6:The “Heading” font style is used for the “First Second Subst” heading in the Expands window.
Set8/Set9:\Tsize of the font in either Normal or Heading style.
Set2:\Tfont used for the “Normal” style. Click MENU to choose another font.|MThe default is “Trinity.Medium”
Set5:\Tfont used for the “Heading” style. Click MENU to choose another font.|MThe default is “Homerton.Bold”
Set4/Set4S:Click \s or MENU to choose a font for the “Normal” style.|MThe default is “Trinity.Medium”
Set7/Set7S:Click \s or MENU to choose a font for the “Heading” style.|MThe default is “Homerton.Bold”
Set11/Set11S:\Sreduce the font size. \Aincrease it.
Set12/Set12S:\Sincrease the font size. \Areduce it.
Set13/Set14/Set15:Clicking \a on the close icon of any of Smart Quotes’ windows while holding down Shift will run !Chars – by default. Drag another application here if you do not want to use !Chars.
Set16:\Ticon of the chosen character viewer. It will by default be !Chars’ icon. Clicking on it will do nothing useful – drag a replacement application to this window if you want to change character viewer.
Set17:\Tfull pathname of the chosen character viewer. It is shown here for information only – you cannot edit it. Drag a replacement application to this window if you want to change character viewer.
Set18/Set19/Set20:If you are running Smart Quotes from a file server or another read-only device (e.g. a network or a protected hard disc partition), you must tell it to store the Choices files elsewhere.
Set21:Drag the directory icon to a Filer window to create a directory called “SQ Choices” in the chosen directory, which will hold the choices files.|MThe default setting is inside the main !Quotes application.
Set22:Type in a new filename for the directory Smart Quotes uses to store its choices files.|MThe default setting is “SQ Choices” inside !Quotes.
Set23:\Sload the current choices into this window, i.e. abandon changes but carry on editing. Do this if you’ve made a hash of something but want to carry on.
Set24:\Sload the default choices into this window. Do this before distributing Smart Quotes, or after receiving it.
Set26:\Sabandon all changes and stop editing the choices. Do this if the choices are perfectly all right as they were and you didn’t have to change them.
Set25:\Ssave these choices to disc, and use them as the current settings from now on.|M\Acarry on editing after having saved them.|MAny changes will now take effect.
Set23S/Set24S/Set25S/Set26S:You can let go of the button now.
Set?/Set??/Set???/SetW:This window provides you with choices that didn't fit in the main Choices window.
# Warning from Smart Quotes (Que)
Que1:\Sgo back to the “Other choices” window and continue editing.|MPressing ESCAPE or clicking on another window will have the same effect.
Que2:\Sdiscard the changes you have made and close the “Other choices” window.
Que3:\Ssave the changes you have made and close the “Other choices” window. Any changes will now take effect.
Que?/QueW:You have closed the window or clicked on “Cancel changes” after having made some changes without saving them. Choose what you want to do with those changes.
